David Anderson QC displays some ambivalence around stop and search

Conflicting comments on stop and search in the media from David Anderson QC.

​An article in the Guardian revealed that the new independent reviewer of counter-terrorism supported calls for a review of schedule 7, and quoted him citing StopWatch partners FOSIS in his statement. However on the same day in the Evening Standard, Mr Anderson argued that police should 'ignore racial balance in stop and searches'. Mr Anderson argued that to strive for racial balance was 'the opposite of intelligence led policing'.
