Know Your Rights, Stop and Search - A mapping of know your rights information for young people
There is a plethora of Know-Your-Rights information available for young people, through the internet, leaflets and flyers and training sessions. However, young people persistently report being unsure of their rights when stopped by the police. Why is the majority of KYR training failing to adequately prepare young people for encounters with the police? This report maps the various different forms of rights training available and suggests ways it could be made more effective.
