On 11 May, several members of the StopWatch team were on the panel and in the audience for a public consultation regarding changes to the Police and Criminal Evidence Act which came into force in March. Under the new laws police forces are no longer required to produce a written receipt following a stop and account. While most forces in the country have ceased to do so, the Met have undertaken a consultation process to find out what members of the public feel about this.
